Ice Skating in Wagga on this school holidays

This school holidays there are plenty of fun activities to keep young people entertained through the Winter Break Holiday Program proudly funded by NSW Government.

Week one begins with an excursion to Wagga Wagga on Monday 4 July for people aged 12 to 24 years old to enjoy Ice-Skating at Victoria Memorial Gardens. The bus will leave from the Visitor Information Centre at 9.15am. Bookings are essential through Eventbrite.

For budding artists aged 12 to 24, Tuesday 5 July will be a great day with a ‘Paint with Mates’ workshop hosted by Wagga organisation Pinot and Picasso. This event is being held at Narrandera Showground with capped numbers. Bookings are essential through Eventbrite.

The following week, Council has partnered with Tafe NSW Narrandera Campus to conduct two Welding Workshops. The workshops have received strong interest, indicating the importance of developing practical life and work skills for young people.

A day at Marie Bashir Park is set for Wednesday 13 July with Boredom Busters. Hosted by Headspace together with Council, activities include inflatable games, three-on-three basketball, outdoor giant games such as tug-of-war and lunch by the Youth Food Trailer.

For movie lovers, head to the CRC Church Auditorium on Friday 15 July at 6.30pm for the feature film 80’s classic ‘Back to the Future’. Screening begins at 7pm and snacks will be available to purchase at the auditorium. 

Narrandera Shire Library will also have lots of great activities to enjoy, including Lego Club from 2pm to 4pm on Tuesdays, Board Games from 2pm to 4pm on Thursdays and a different movie each Friday from 11am.  

GLOW Roller Discos are back at the Showground’s Pioneer Hall over the winter break with plenty of sessions available. Dates include Friday 1 and Saturday 2, Thursday 7 to Sunday 10, and Wednesday 13 to Friday 15 July, all from 6pm to 9pm. No bookings are required.
