Payment by B-Pay

This option can be used to debit the payment amount from your savings or cheque account.  Please have the account that you wish to pay in front of you and access your bank account by using either the internet or telephone.  When prompted to, enter the 5-digit Biller Code 96503 (DEFT Payment Systems) then enter the 17 digit reference number starting with 271101404.  Your bank will issue you with a receipt which you should print and attach to the account paid or write the receipt number on the front of the account.

Please remember, you MUST make a separate payment transaction for each rate(s) and or water/sewer account(s) to be paid.

Payment Online via DEFT

This option can be used to debit the payment amount from your MasterCard or Visa Card or pre-registered bank account. Please have the account that you wish to pay in front of you and access DEFT online (Macquarie Bank).

If you are a new user select “Pay without a login” or select "Login" if you are already a registered user. When prompted to enter the 17-digit reference number starting with 271101404, the amount you wish to pay, your credit card details or pre-registered bank account details. Then enter your payment amounts and payment dates.  DEFT (Macquarie Bank) will issue you with a receipt which you should print and attach to the account.

Payment by Mail

This option can be used to make a cheque payment or money order payment. Please detach the payment advice located at the bottom of the account to be paid and mail with payment to:

Please tick the receipt required box on the payment advice if you wish a receipt to be returned to you. Make sure that you allow sufficient time to ensure that the payment is received by Council no later than the due date.  

Payment at Australia Post

This option can be used to make a credit/debit card payment, cheque payment, money order payment or by debiting the payment amount from your savings or cheque account. Please have the original barcoded account that you wish to pay on hand and go to any Australia Post branch or agent within normal opening hours.

The cashier will scan the account that you wish to pay and you can pay using credit/debit card, cheque or money order (made payable to DEFT Payment Systems for Narrandera Shire Council) or debit card to access your savings or cheque account.

Australia Post will issue you with an official receipt which you should attach to the account paid.

Payment at Council's Office

This option can be used to make a cash payment, cheque payment, money order payment or by debiting the payment amount from your savings account, cheque account, Mastercard or Visa Card. Please have the account that you wish to pay on hand and visit Council’s Office at 141 East Street, Narrandera NSW 2700 during the hours of 8.30am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays or other days that Council has resolved to close the office).

The cashier will enter the details of the account that you wish to pay and issue you with an official receipt which you should attach to the account paid.
