As part of our commitment to maintaining a vibrant and uniform streetscape, Narrandera Shire Council announces that the Winter Tree Maintenance program has commenced. Works started this week with Council staff and contractors undertaking essential tree maintenance work in Marie Bashir Park. 

The maintenance works have been identified in the 2020-2025 Narrandera Tree Audit and through staff reassessing trees for health and structural defects.

Date: Commencing Monday, 26 June 2024

Location: Marie Bashir Park, East and West ends of Audley Street, Narrandera Sportsground, Larmer Street

Purpose: To create a cohesive and visually appealing streetscape

Activities:

• Under-pruning

• Directional pruning

• Dead-wooding

• Palm De-fronding 

• Removals

Minimising Disruption: Council staff will make every effort to minimise disruption to local businesses. 

Where required a staff member will be onsite to assist with pedestrian movements during the maintenance work.
