Expressions of Interest Invited for Council Advisory Committees

Narrandera Shire Council is inviting expressions of interest from members of the community to join a range of strategic advisory committees established to provide input on a range of issues and opportunities facing the Narrandera Shire community.

Council's Mayor, Cr Neville Kschenka, said the advisory committees play an important role in contributing to local strategic planning and service delivery.

"Our various committees are essential in ensuring that Council's decisions reflect the diverse needs, interests, and aspirations of our community and we encourage residents to bring their unique perspectives, skills, and expertise to these groups."

"Council is always looking for ways to better communicate and engage with our community, and we know that committees play a pivotal role in that process through contributing to priority-setting and providing feedback on services, projects, programs, and events."

Cr Kschenka extended his gratitude to past committee members and encouraged them to renominate to serve on a committee for the current 2024-28 term of Council.

"We're grateful for our outgoing committee members, who have generously volunteered their time, effort, and energy to give back to our community, and we would welcome their continued involvement in our various committees."

Further information on Council's committee structure, including committee terms of reference and details on how to submit an expression of interest to join a committee, is available from Council's website at narrandera.nsw.gov.au.

Expressions of Interest close Monday, 10 February 2025.

Committee members will be appointed for a four-year term and serve in a voluntary capacity.
