The Lake Talbot Water Park site is officially in the hands of the successful principle contractor, Total Creations.
Mayor Cr Neville Kschenka together with project manager Mark McLean, took the first steps towards the demolition and redevelopment of the pool areas. The project includes the construction of an access ramp into the 50-metre pool, reflooring of the rampage pool and the replacement of the island pool with a splash park and toddler pool. The closed season will also allow for a new pump station to be built into the lower level of the grassed area.
Mayor Kschenka said today that this is the beginning of a new look for Lake Talbot and something we can all look forward to enjoying in the future.
“With so much uncertainty happening in Australia and globally, it is great that we have projects such as these that are able to proceed, creating new and exciting spaces for our community and visitors to utilise in the summer seasons ahead. Importantly, all of our projects are designed to provide maximum opportunities for local contractors and trades.”
These works are part of the over arching Playground on the Murrumbidgee project funded through the Drought Stimulus Package and proudly supported by the NSW Government.
